Some years after its establishment, Econowind is already leading in the installation of VentoFoil sail systems: A wing that works like a sail and saves about 10% fuel on sea-going vessels. The position
As a (Junior/Medior) Technical Project Manager, you represent Econowind to the client throughout the process, from the purchase of a wind propulsion system to its successful installation on board. You ensure that the client can fulfil their role in the product integration process and has all the information they need.
You’ll collaborate with clients to determine the best approach for implementing our product on their vessels. By coordinating schedules across various departments—such as engineering and production—as well as with external partners like subcontractors, class societies, and ship design bureaus, you’ll ensure that everyone meets their deadlines. Your efforts will be crucial in driving the project toward a successful completion.
You invite the client for a Factory Acceptance Test and demonstrate the sold product to the client. Your on-site presence is vital for project completion, meaning you’ll travel to the vessel alongside our commissioning team. While non-office work typically accounts for about 20% of your responsibilities, this can vary depending on project status, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with clients and ensure everything runs smoothly.
As a key member of our operations team, you’ll be at the forefront of not just project management, but also on-board installation and after-service support. Our growing team of five collaborates closely with the design and engineering departments to ensure seamless execution and innovation. You will report directly to the Projects and Operations Manager, playing a vital role in our mission to deliver top-notch solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee timelines and track the progress of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Guarantee that the client receives exactly what was promised, on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Acceptance tests with the client at the factory and on board.
- Play an active role in driving product improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to comprehensive product and project documentation, including installation procedures, manuals, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) procedures.
Qualification and skills
Required:
- Background in the maritime industry (education and/or work experience).
- Basic practical technical skills.
- Clear communicator.
- Precise.
- Willing to travel every now and then.
Qualifications and skills
Preferred:
- Experience with managing many different involved parties.
- Experience with class approval processes.
- Experience with hydraulic & electrical systems.
