As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a dedicated Maritime Field Engineer to strengthen our team and help us unlock new opportunities in the maritime sector.

The role

As a Maritime Field Engineer, you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and service of our VentoFoil wind propulsion systems onboard ships. Depending on the scope of the project, you will work either independently or in a small team. This position reports directly to the Projects and Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with sufficient hands-on technical knowledge and experience to ensure safe and high-quality installation and commissioning. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work planning, including preparing tools, materials, and required instruments
  • Support and guide the installation of systems onboard ships
  • Perform commissioning, testing and quality evaluations of installed systems to ensure compliance with internal specifications and maritime regulations
  • Trouble shooting of existing systems on board
  • Document and report on progress and completion of the work
  • Refit and maintain systems that have returned to our factory, for future installation back on board

Skills & Experience

  • Practical technical knowledge of basic mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics.
  • Proven experience in the maritime industry.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work onboard ships.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in ship schedules.
  • Proactive attitude with the confidence to raise concerns when necessary.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
